windows update policy, skip policy reboot option if not necessary

Hi,

I think it would be nice being able to configure a windows updates policy in a way that says "skip reboot setting of policy, when WU says "not reboot needed". Like a extra switch under specialties under "Install Available Windows Updates" which says "ignore policy reboot option, when no reboot needed".

Or am i missing that configuration option somewhere for the special case windows update?

Nothing built in to do this, but you can do it yourself if needed. Just set the policy to not reboot, then create a script module that checks if a reboot is needed, and reboot if so.
