So I attempted to use my fqdn and a usb drive to perform an image way far from the server over WAN. The connection was successful but I got an error when TOEM tried to mount the smb share as its trying to hit it by IP etc. Makes sense it doesnt work. My question is, with the SMB deploy and upload defaulted can I do some sort of replication to keep copies on the server and on SMB to allow remote WAN connections to pull straight from the server and local connection to use SMB or will it not be smart enough to check the locations and then I would need to just store images directly on the server and remove SMB from the mix. I was considering a separate server just for WAN use as well but thats a lot of overhead for such limited use. Thanks!
