mysqld High CPU usage

    We are getting high CPU usage from mysqld, about 70%-90%. This occurs even while server is idle. The combination of this process along with others causes CPU to stay at 100%.
    It is running on Server 2016.
    CPU = Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E3-1270 v3 @ 3.50GHz

    We are only using TOEM for imaging.

    Is there anything I can check?
