I've tried to deploy an image to 30 clients. Each of them is registered and all 30 clients are in one group. After I started the Multicast Deployment I tried to wake them up which didn't work.
The clients and the server are in the same network.
I then used a different WOL-Application which sucessfully woke up all clients without an issue.
Toec is not installed on the clients. I only use Theopenem for Deployment.
Does anyone know why WOL doesn't work?
My second issue is that Multicast Deployment with 30 clients is very slow (100MB/min). With one client I can achieve speeds above 7GB/min (Multicast & Unicast).
With a Clonezilla lite server I can also achieve Multicast Deployment speeds of above 6GB/min with the same 30 clients.
All switches, network cards & cables are rated for 1 Gb/s.
Does anyone know why Multicast Deployment with Theopenem is so much slower than Clonezilla?
