Can't install software

This is my first time running this software and it won't let me install it and when I reboot to reinstall it gives me the same error any ideas for me to try

Something is flagging your machine that a reboot is needed. Do you have any pending windows updates?

I figured it out Windows update had a pending reboot stuck....
